Perl IIa

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

If you've started learning Perl and know the basics but want to get in deeper then this course is for you. The main objective of this course is to obtain a greater mastery of important elements of the language needed for useful programs. It also provides experience with the Perl debugger and using the built-in documentation.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

You will learn

bullet Deeper understanding of the interpretation of literal data and loop control
bullet How to interact with the command line, call external programs, and access the environment
bullet Basic use of the debugger
bullet More powerful use of regular expressions

PREREQUISITES:

This course is for the graduate of the "Perl I" course, or someone with equivalent expertise: You understand the basic data types, can iterate through a hash, know basic regular expressions and can do file I/O.
