Peter Scott, President of PSDT, Peter Scott has been a software developer for over 20 years. In 1992 he started using Perl and since then has written well over 100,000 lines of Perl, plus a few in some other languages. He specializes in large enterprise applications tying together multiple databases. In 2001 Addison Wesley published his book "Perl Debugged" written with Ed Wright. Currently he is working on a book about maintaining Perl applications inherited from other people.

Since 1999 he has taught Perl to several hundred people at levels ranging from complete beginner to object-oriented network programming. He is the head of his local Perl Mongers group.
